University of Tehran
Hi! My name is Amir Hossein Osooli, and I'm a M.Sc. Student in Biomedical Engineering in the Interferometric Multimodal Photonics for Advanced Clinical Translation (IMPACT) Lab at the University of Tehran, advised by Dr. Mohammad Hossein Salimi. I'm excited about AI-enhanced optical imaging systems and the intersection of machine learning with medical imaging. My work seeks to develop and implement enhanced optical imaging systems. Currently, I am working on Photothermal Laser Speckle Imaging (PT-LSI) System. I also worked on enhancing Photothermal Optical Coherence Tomography (PT-OCT) using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs).
Previously, I completed my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tehran, where I worked on robotics, control systems, and computational methods. I also had the opportunity to work as a research intern at the University of Regina on robot control systems, and spent a summer internship at PANTOhealth in Berlin working on signal processing.
Outside research, I enjoy playing the Setar (a Persian musical instrument), Reading books, and exploring the intersection of engineering and AI.
